Sonia joined the ACP programme in 2006 and now has a job in a retail financial department: "Gymnasts have a short sporting life. If you finish injured like me, you have to adjust your sights. The ACP seminar opened my eyes and mind, and I saw my future in a different way…I learned how to prepare for interviews, to develop my résumé and a range of new tools I never knew were out there. Now, I'm learning and gaining experience for the future. The transition is never easy, but being ready for it and getting the right kind of support makes a huge difference at a difficult time."
