Maike is one of Germany’s top Heptathletes. Unfortunately injuries over the past two years nearly ended her sports career. Maike did not want to give up after all the years of training but she realized that she could not rely purely on athletics for a career. Maike worked in retail while she tried to get her athletic career back on track. However, juggling both work and training was tough. Then the Olympic organization recommended the ACP and Maike soon met with an Adecco account executive Sebastian Krolczik, at Adecco’s Cologne office. Krolczik said, “Maike was highly motivated to both her sport and her work. We soon identified an ideal opportunity at Goodyear for Maike to work as a personal assistant on a flexible 30-hour week. Maike adds, “My work place is just around the corner from home so it is easy for me to get to both work and training. This is ideal for me.”
