Ivo Ferriani

Ivo was educated at the State University of Rome, Foro Italico (Italy), Bachelor of Sports Science, and is currently an Executive Board Member of the State University of Rome, Foro Italico; in addition to his IOC commitments: Member of the Executive Board (2018-); Member of the following Commissions: Sustainability and Legacy (2015-); Coordination for the XXIV Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 (2016-), Athletes' Entourage (2017-), Digital and Technology (2017-).

He's practised in football, athletics, wild-water kayak, rafting and bobsleigh. Career includes: Soccer and athletics (1973-1982); Member of the Italian national bobsleigh team through participation in a pilot school held in Cortina d´Ampezzo (1981-1982); Member of the Italian Carabineer Sports Group (1984-1994); Bobsleigh World Cup Tour as two-man and four-man bob pilot (1985-1990); European Junior Vice-Champion in Igls Innsbruck (Austria) on two-man bob (1986); 4th place at the European Championship in Cervinia (Italy) on four-man bob (1987); Olympian in Calgary as two-man bob pilot (1988); Bobsleigh coach.

In terms of Sports Administration, Ivo has been: President of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF); Olympic Sliding Track Manager at the Torino Post-Olympic Foundation; Bob, Skeleton and Luge Competition Manager for the design, construction and sports operations of the track in Cesana Torinese for the Organising Committee of the XX Olympic Winter Games Turin 2006; Member of the National Olympic Committee of Italy (CONI); Board Member of the Grugliasco Golf Club.

He was awarded the Commendatore della Repubblica by the President of the Italian Republic in 2011.
