Kirsty Coventry IOC Kirsty Coventry is a Zimbabwean former swimmer (backstroke and individual medley) and double Olympic Champion. In 2004 Athens Olympic Games, she won gold, silver and bronze medals and in 2008 Beijing Olympic games, a gold and three silver medals. She also competed in 2005, 2007 and 2009 World Championships winning three gold medals and five silver medals. Kirsty holds a Bachelor of Human Science from Auburn University (United States of America). She consults for the Zimbabwe National Olympic Committee, provides motivational talks and clinics for schools and developing athletes around the world. Kirsty advises to groups, businesses, foundations and individuals interested in developing athletes’ skills and careers. In 2015, she launched THE Kirsty Coventry Academy, a non-profit organisation with three focal areas: Train coaches, teach young kids to swim; and the ambassador programme where volunteers help spread water-safety and drowning prevention campaigns.
