Patrick Glennon Senior Vice President IOC & IPC Athlete Career Programme, Adecco Group Patrick James Glennon is the Adecco Senior Vice President for the International Olympic Committee Athlete Career Programme (IOC ACP) in co-operation with Adecco and the International Paralympic Committee ACP (IPC ACP) in cooperation with Adecco. He started developing the programmes to support elite athletes make the transition from sport to the labour market in 2002 working with professional sport leagues in the USA (NFL, NBA, MLS) prior to engaging with the US Olympic Committee in 2005. In 2006, he assumed his global role with only 10 countries participating in the programme. He continuously grew the programme, in both reach and content, delivering career training and job placement services to athletes from more than 100 countries with a team of over 35 country ACP Managers and members within the Olympic and Paralympic family. Prior to joining Adecco, Patrick Glennon achieved recognition as a global corporate development executive with a solid record of creating successful business operations globally. He had more than 20 years' experience in companies ranging from small businesses to Fortune 10, acquiring international experience in Europe, Asia and the Americas. While working with small enterprises, Patrick provided executive coaching and business development services. Patrick gained his experience with Fortune 10 companies at IBM where he started in accounting and went on to executive management positions in the area of mergers, acquisitions, acquisition integration, plant divestures and partnership development in Technology and Global Services. In this role, he worked on a wide range of transactions, supporting IBM and its alliance partners in successful collaborations. Patrick Glennon gained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Bentley College in 1982 and acquired an MBA in International Finance from Pace University in 1987.
