Pedro Yang


Pedro Yang is a former badminton player from Guatemala who participated at the Athens 2014 Olympic Games. Some of his achievements include the bronze medal in the Pan-American Games in 1999, and gold medal in the Central America and Caribbean games in 2010.

Pedro has worked as a coach for different clubs in Latin America and Denmark, and has been involved in different leadership programmes and social initiatives related to sports.

Pedro holds a degree in Marketing Management from the Niels Brock College-Denmark and Business Administration-Strategy and Management from the Montfort University (UK). He worked as business consultant and in he is currently working as International Competition Manager for LEGO Education. Pedro was appointed to the IOC Athlete’s Commission from 2008-2016 and he is a member of the IOC Athlete’s Encourage Commission and the IOC Working group on Abuse and Sexual Harassment. He is also an experienced instructor of the IOC Athlete Career Programme and in 2016 he was appointed as member of the Steering Committee of the Athlete Career Programme.
